Pause in Operations at DP World Canada

Operations will be temporarily halted at DP World Canada terminals in Prince Rupert, Nanaimo, Fraser Surrey and Vancouver tomorrow Friday, June 19, 2020.

Cargo operations will pause for the 08:00 shift Friday, June 19, 2020, and resume regular operations for the 16:30 shift. Please note that Non-International Longshore & Warehouse Union (ILWU) terminal services will remain open during this period.

The eight-hour pause was requested by ILWU Canada to allow them to join ILWU International in observing Juneteenth to demonstrate their stand against racism, hate and intolerance directed at people because of their ethnicity, culture, sexual orientation or faiths. Read more here.
