Ocean Freight Rate Update

Ocean container market conditions have continued to worsen as we enter the summer months. Increased demand, port congestion and traditional peak season product category growth have pushed service constraints to all new levels of dysfunction. The OEC Group is continuing its priority of securing space for our customers and communicating proactively the dynamic fluidity of this industry.

Effective June 1, 2021, carriers will begin implementing PSS charges as well as potential GRI quantum’s to reflect the current shortage of capacity vs demand.  We are doing all possible to provide the most economical shipping options and to communicate with our customers the requirements to obtain vessel space.
