The Pricing and Supply Chain Coordinator will be primarily responsible for providing support to assigned customer accounts to ensure effective handling of freight bookings and corresponding product rating.
_____________________________________________________________________- Receive and manage multiple bookings from customers, vendors, shippers and receivers;
- Utilize knowledge of customer specific data structures to produce pricing and booking solutions to assigned accounts;
- Provide quality information to customers for fact-based decision making;
- Verify bookings and obtain appropriate approvals before relaying information to overseas;
- Verify bookings against costing to ensure all shipments are booked as per agreed terms and quotations;
- Resolve customer complaints related to bookings in a diligent business efficient manner; as well as implement measures to prevent their frequency and occurrence;
- Analyze procedures to resolve internal and operational problems to prevent service deficiencies and customer dissatisfaction;
- Analyze current processes and implement solutions to streamline and improve productivity;
- Improve internal systems and procedures to promote customer service and departmental efficiency;
- Respond to incoming ad hoc pricing requests and provide appropriate market information;
- Aid in developing and maintaining customer accounts;
- Set priorities and organize workload assigned in an efficient manner;
- Monitor and update shipment statuses in OEC’s in-house operational systems;
- Maintain daily communication with overseas offices, partners, and vendors;
- Other duties related.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position within an international Freight Forwarding organization;
- Prior experience in rate analysis preferred;
- CIFFA, CITT, or related certificates considered an asset;
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, advanced Excel and Access is required;
- Excellent analytical, organizational, communication skills, and high level attention to detail are required;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English;
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize activities in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment;
- Ability and desire to work independently and communicate effectively to all levels of the organization; as well as able to contribute within a team environment;
- Strong technical aptitude is a requisite.
