Due to the high demand for technical assistance, the Electronic Commerce Unit (ECU) has made additions to its web site (www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/eservices/menu-eng.html) in order to clarify the procedures clients need to follow when they contact the ECU for technical support. Please refer to the section called “The EDI Hotline”. CBSA invites you to review these procedures, and to share the link with your teams. Should you have any questions on the procedures, please contact the CBSA during regular business hours at 1-888-957-7224.
Further to this initiative, later in the summer, the ECU will be posting a Frequently Asked Questions page on its web site, with the most-asked EDI questions, with tips on how clients can identify and troubleshoot these problems without necessarily contacting the ECU. CBSA will advise when this new feature is posted.
