United Airlines announced the schedule for the airline's first-ever nonstop service to the African continent, with once-daily service linking Washington with Accra, the capital of Ghana, beginning June 20. United 990 departs Washington Dulles International Airport at 10:10 p.m., arriving at Kotoka International Airport in Accra the next day at 12:40 p.m. U.S.-bound service from Accra begins June 21 with the departure of United 991 at 11 p.m., arriving in Washington the next day at 6:25 a.m.
