ILWU-Canada Ratification Process: Stop Work Meeting Confirmed for June 19
ciffa.comThe British Columbia Maritime Employers Association (BCMEA) issued an update yesterday to confirm that all International Longshore and Warehouse Union – Canada Locals (500, 502, 505, 508 and 519) have scheduled a stop work meeting for the day shift on Wednesday, June 19, as part of the ratification process for the new tentative collective agreement.The June 19 day shift meeting will not interfere with employees carrying out necessary duties, such as those performed by maintenance employees (for emergencies), lines employees or employees servicing regularly scheduled coastwise vessels.
