    American Airlines glitch leaves 15,000 Christmas flights without a captain

    Maersk Line Closes Acquisition of Hamburg Sud
    Maersk Line has completed its acquisition of Hamburg Süd after final regulatory approval was granted this week, almost exactly a year after the proposed deal was announced. Read more here.

    Hapag-Lloyd completes integration with UASC
    German container line Hapag-Lloyd announced this week that it had successfully completed the integration of UASC into the group and expected to achieve significant cost reductions next year as a result of merger synergies. Read more here.

    Carriers slow rate slide, but some are ‘grabbing anything at any price’

    CMA CGM Merges Multimodal Subsidiaries
    CMA CGM is merging subsidiaries MacAndrews and OPDR effective January 1, with the merged entity’s headquarters to be loacted in Hamburg. Read more here.

    The CFIA Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) application will be unavailable during this time. This includes all incoming data and outbound messages, such as acknowledgements, reject messages and notices.
